Who We Are

Calvary Chapel Tulsa is a fellowship of believers that has been formed in the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Our supreme desire is to know Christ, to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit, and to be a part of reaching the world with His gospel message.

We are affiliated with Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa. As such, there are certain distinctives that we hold as we seek to be a witness in the community and equip believers to become disciples (see philosophy of ministry for more details). Following the church model in Acts 2:42 we continue steadfastly in teaching, fellowship, communion, and prayer.

We teach systematically through the Bible, declaring the whole counsel of God, chapter by chapter, verse by verse. We believe that when the emphasis of the church becomes what God wants it to be, then “the Lord will add to the church daily such as should be saved” as Acts 2:47 declares.

Today, the Calvary Chapel movement has grown to over a thousand churches worldwide. This international outreach ranges from church planting in all areas of the globe (even in former Communist countries) to training indigenous pastors in their own country. While each local church is completely autonomous in its own right, each one is bound together by a deep love of the Lord, His Word, and a desire to see His gospel “… preached unto all nations…” Matthew 24:14 (NIV)
